Herman Hollis, Jr., Realtor has been a member of the MLS for 27 years. Service areas include the San Fernando Valley: Northridge, Granada Hills, Woodland Hills, Calabasas, Encino, Studio City, North Hollywood, Van Nuys, Sherman Oaks, Sylmar, Sunland, Pacoima, Arleta, Canoga Park, West Hills, Lake Balboa, Reseda, Winnetka, North Hills, Mission Hills, Glendale and Burbank. He also provides service to Valencia, Santa Clarita Valley, Canyon Country, Saugas, Altadena, Pasadena, Newhall, and Stevenson Ranch.
He began real estate as a part time agent. He became full-time after two retirements. He is a retired Lt. Colonel from the United States Air force and the California Air National Guard and has served as Commanding Officer of numerous Electronic Communications operations in both active duty and in the Air National Guard. He is a retired Senior Engineer from Pacific Bell Telephone Company specializing in Electronic Communications.
He graduated from Tuskegee Institute with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. He served in the US Air Force ROTC and played basketball and football while at Tuskegee. He has completed numerous military and real estate courses, seminars and specialty trainings. His teaching experience in military specialty and communications courses is too numerous to mention.
His wife, Janice, is a retired community college educator who has a doctorate from UCLA. Son, Reginald, (deceased) graduated from the University of Georgia. He practiced as a Pharmacist. Daughter, Shari, is a graduate of UCLA and UC Hastings College of the Law. She practices law in San Francisco. Son, Leonard, is a graduate of Tuskegee University who is a Financial Analyst for a major university medical Center.
Herman likes to keep busy; his hobbies include woodwork, upholstery, fishing, gardening, barbequing and card games.
Some of his travels outside the mainland United States include: Alaska, Aruba, Cayman Island, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Nassau, Bahamas, St. Thomas, Spain, North Africa, Hawaii, Japan, Philippines, Quam, Mexico, Vietnam and Thailand
